About Saahas

SAAHAS, located at , R-21, Khirki Extension, near girls polytechnical Hostel, Malviya Nagar, Delhi-17, is a society, registered on 27.08.2013 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, vide registration no. District East/ Society/ 676/ 2013, with a pan-India operation. It is being run by a Governing Body, which is an eclectic mix of young and enthusiastic professionals and people from diverse backgrounds, with Ms. Arpna Devi Chandail, a young and dynamic media professional, at the helm of it.

SAAHAS undertakes to inter alia disseminate education to the marginal sections of the society and bring about a qualitative change in the future of the underprivileged sections of the society and align them with the mainstream. In a short span of its existence of about four years, it has undertaken many projects related to social uplift of the marginalized and many other projects are in the offing.

Our Vision

Providing quality of education, awareness and health care in the spirit of the society, especially the underprivileged, the disadvantaged and the disenfranchised irrespective of caste and creed.

  • We wish to create a harmonious society, free of prejudice and discrimination, which is in sync with the core human values of love, compassion and empathy.
  • We wish to eradicate the root cause of the gross inequality and deprivation suffered by the marginalized sections of our society and become a catalyst in sensitizing the privileged and empowered people about their duties to their underprivileged fellow beings.

Our Mision

  • Eradicate hunger, poverty and malnutrition, and promote healthcare, including preventive healthcare among the poorer sections of society.
  • Promote education among the underprivileged children, creating opportunities for them to go to school
  • Make people self-dependable through skill development programmers & Establishing Work Stations.
  • Make people aware of their rights and responsibilities, and educate them about the different government welfare schemes being run for them.
  • Inculcate sense of hygiene and cleanliness among the slum-dwellers.
  • Help the marginalized sections of our society live a fulfilling life with pride and dignity.
  • Work towards eradication of child labour
